Parent Support Sessions

Support, strategies, and confidence for your parenting journey

Parenting can feel overwhelming at times, especially when your child, teenager or young adult is facing challenges that affect daily life, relationships, learning or independence. Many parents do their best to support their child, yet still feel unsure about what is helping and why progress can feel so hard to achieve.

Our parent sessions are designed to provide guidance, understanding and practical support. Together, we explore the challenges your child and family are experiencing, and identify the barriers that may be impacting wellbeing, engagement and success in everyday life.

By looking beneath the surface of behaviour, we help parents and carers understand the underlying causes, needs and functions behind what they are seeing. The deeper understanding allows for more effective responses and stronger, more connected relationships. We provide tailored, practical strategies to help parents and carers respond with confidence and support their child in meaningful ways.

Parent support sessions may be helpful for:

– school avoidance or refusal

– demand avoidance

– masking

– transitioning from school to adulthood

– emotional regulation and behavioural challenges

– sibling relationships

– controlling behaviours

– anxiety

– physical outburts

– challenges related to early life medical trauma

We would love the opportunity to support you through these challenges. Please contact us to learn more or click below to request a parent session. We generally recommend 8-10 fortnightly sessions, although this can be adjusted to suit your family’s needs.
