Family Connections Sydney provide personalised training and professional development workshops designed to meet the unique needs of each group and organisation. Our customised approach ensures participants gain practical skills and knowledge that can be applied immediately in their professional roles.

We are proud to be a preferred specialist allied health provider with the NSW Department of Education and a Registered NDIS Provider delivering Early Childhood Supports, Therapeutic Supports, Development of Daily Living and Life Skills and Specialist Behaviour Supports. 

Early Childhood Educators

We partner with early childhood services to provide mentoring, professional development, and hands-on workshops that help educators: 

  • Improve staff wellbeing and reduce workplace stress and burnout.
  • Build confidence in supporting children with diverse developmental and behavioural needs.
  • Foster positive participation, engagement, and behaviour across the centre. 
  • Support the development of preschool routines and structure to facilitate learning and engagement.

Schools: Teachers & Support Staff

Our mentoring, presentations, and practical workshops support school staff to:

  •  Foster classroom engagement and participation for neurodiverse students.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of the needs of students with autism, ADHD, and other developmental or learning differences.
  • Identify the underlying causes and functions of challenging behaviours within the classroom setting.
  • Develop a repertoire of universal strategies to support all students and remediate obstacles to learning, engagement and successful participation. 

Early Career Therapist 

Our mentoring, supervision, and professional development programs support early career therapists to:

 

  • Develop a strong understanding of child development across sensory, motor, emotional, social, and physical domains.
  • Build knowledge of Sensory Integration principles and other evidence-informed therapeutic approaches.
  • Strengthen clinical reasoning skills, including assessment, analysis, goal setting, and intervention planning.
  • Confidently support parents and families throughout their child’s therapy journey.

    Client Support Team 

    (including Support Workers, Disability-Specific Services, Out-of-Home Care, and Residential Facilities)

    Our key focus areas:

    • Develop and implement effective strategies that support client skill development, fostering personal growth, independence, and meaningful community engagement.
    • Reduce staff burnout by promoting sustainable work practices, providing appropriate support, and enhancing staff wellbeing.

    • Support in prevention and early intervention of behavioural challenges.
